MDMA, a club drug known for its empathetic and euphoric qualities, is now healing post-traumatic stress disorder in veterans and survivors of abuse. In combination with a series of talk therapy sessions with psychiatrists, 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, popularly known as ecstasy, molly, or MDMA, has been showing great promise for how effectively it seems to be helping people who have long suffered from PTSD. Thanks to decades of research and advocacy by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, which has funded this research, MDMA is closer than ever to legalization as a government-approved medicine.
Do you suffer from PTSD or other life-threatening illness? MDMA-assisted psychotherapy may be an option for you. If you are interested in participating in a study, MAPS may be able to help you.
